Paris-based artist Felicie delivers her first solo vinyl release on Manchester’s imprint Clergy.
‘Art of Detachment’ is composed of four original tracks, focusing on the fusion of hardgroove with an edge of 90’s inspired energy, while blurring the line with Felicie’s more current fast paced rhythms.
Opening with ‘The Halo Effect’ strong oldschool vocals and groove-ridden drums, setting the tone for a straight-forward desire to make nothing but dance, with its energetic and punchy stabs.
Followed by ‘Shadow Works, a powerful drum work tool weapon where the breakdowns focus on bringing the right tension on the dancefloor, through its questioning yet captivating percussions and subtle melodies.
Through ‘Detached’, each rhythmic element falls into place giving birth to a deep and driving peak-time oriented dancefloor killer.
Golden Shower closes the EP by blending dynamics drums and celestial chant vocals, cultivating an EP made of four different sonic palettes.
